Things have already been really busy this week.  We are brainstorming about planning a huge fundraiser for ASB.  A Dinner/Art Auction type thing that we would have in Lord Hall where they have that nice gallery, and we would get donations from local artists.  Hopefully then it would raise enough money so that we can expand ASB and maybe even get an international trip going sometime in the future.  Homework has been keeping me extremely busy, mostly because I got behind in one of my online classes and it has been hard to catch up.  But I’m almost there….I just have to read like 300 pages by Wednesday, hah.  I can do it though.  Sooo, last week when America’s Next Top Model was on Sara and Jocelyn were over and we made our our ANTM episode.  Here it is… 

This week has flown by!  It’s already Thursday night.  I cannot even remember everything that has happened!  I just know that I have not gotten much sleep, but that it has been the most fun ever.  ASB is keeping me extremely busy.  We held an info session on Tuesday and over 40 people showed up, and we were all crammed into the Walker Room.  On top of doing fundraising and public relations, Katherine and I have decided to site-lead a trip!  We already have a tentative site.  It is doing restoration work at New Orleans City Park.  Yesterday was probably my busiest day all week.  But last night was so fun.  Sara, Jocelyn, and Charles were all here and we made a couple videos – one of which is finished editing and I will post in the update.  It’s the same type of thing as the last one, with the two different random conversations cut and pasted together – except this time it is Jesse and Sara.  We also made a fake episode of America’s Next Top Model, it’s pretty funny.  I’ll have that up by the beginning of next week.  I had my Stagecraft lab this morning, which I was not looking forward to.  Mostly because it is 3 hours long, but also because it requires me to build things.  Right now we are building the set for Hedda Gabler, which will run in November.  But I actually am really starting to like Stagecraft.  I think it is going to be my favorite class this semester.  My lab group is really great.  ALSO, they are thinking about doing a drafting class next semester, which I would be extremely interested in.  I find the “design on paper” aspect more interesting than actually building what’s on the paper.  So yeah.  I could write and write forever about this week, but I cannot remember it too well.  Charles and I spent a lot of time together which is cool.  AND I have A LOT of homework…that I have not done too good of a job finishing…  :/  oh well.  Bye bye for now, and watch the video.  Remember – we taped Sara and Jesse Separately and they didn’t really know what the other one said, and then we just cut and pasted it all together.   Knowing that fact just makes it more funny.

Today is the day I am going to sit down and do the loads of homework I have neglected to do all week – mostly reading and writing stufff.  So let me tell you about my weekend; starting with friday.  I was REALLY REALLY sick, and not from the amazing party at our apartment the night before, but from some spoiled soy sauce I used in my cooking at lunch.  It made me sick all afternoon/night.  I puked a few times and could barely stand up.  It kind of ruined the ASB Officer’s Retreat for me.  Although Saturday was fun.  Friday we drove to Bar Harbor and set up camp at Blackwoods in Acadia National Park.  We did team building activities and had some dinner (which came right back up).   Saturday we packed everything up and headed to the carriage trails where we spent a little over two hours in the pouring rain hoeing weeds out from in between the rocks that line the sides of the trails.  Our guide guy called it “Flossing Rockefellar’s Teeth.”  We were SOAKED by the end.  We supposed to work later, but we were really wet and cold.  So we called it a day.  When I got back to the apartment I passed out for three hours, since I really never got a chance to recover from my sickness.  Then I picked up Charles and we went and bought a DVD player, since Jesse and I didn’t have one yet, and we watched Little Miss Sunshine.  I needed a quiet night in like that.  Oh yeah…and we went to Tim Horton’s and saw a bunch of high people.  hah.  Now it’s Sunday morning, and like I said, it’s major homework-catch-up time.  I am also going to research a couple trip options for ASB because I am thinking about being a site-leader since they could use another.  Hopefully that will not be too much to add onto my current ASB responsibilities.  I’m sure it will be fine.  Okay, breakfast time – latah.

Today was SO long.  After staying up until 2am last night and waking up at 8 this morning, I was a little groggy, but surprisingly chipper!  I had class from 10-4, with a break – during which I had lunch with Jeremy and took care of reserving some rooms in the Union for ASB events.  Then I met Elise at the gym for cycling class at 5:15.  I really thought I would be fine since I did A LOT of cycling back in the day.  But really, if you don’t use it, you lose it.  It has been a good 10 months since I taught my class, and when I went in today I went ahead and used all of the same resistance as I normally would and it was a killer.  When we finally finished an hour later, I had to run to the bathroom while everyone was stretching because I was going to puke.  I didn’t though, thank god.  I think I was dehydrated.  I just pushed myself too hard.  However, I feel great now – work outs make me feel amazing.  Next time I will just make sure I have eaten enough AND that I am hydrated.  Anyway, then I came back here and showered and headed out to Margarita’s with Jesse, Jocelyn, Steve, Sara, Alyssa, Amy, and the other Sara.  We had a lot of fun.  Now I’m exhausted and it’s only 9:30, but I have class at 9 —- sooooo I think I am just going to pass out.   P.S.  I know that I never make a new paragraph, but I can’t figure out how for the life of me.  No matter how many times I enter or tab…I never can make a new paragraph.  So I’m sorry for those of you who find this form of writing in one continuous thought impossible to read.  Have a lovely night.  

Hey Everyone.  I WAS going to update you on my weekend, but I will save that for next time, because I need to tell you about my night tonight!  It is 2am as I am writing this, because I am so freakin excited!   So Jocelyn, Steve, Sara, and Jon were over her tonight hanging out and we have been talking about using a Ouija board for a couple of days now and hadn’t done it yet.  Tonight, I REALLY wanted to, so we lit candles and went across the hall to Sara and Jocelyn’s because were weren’t getting any responses over in my apartment.   So get this… We asked if anyone was with us, and the pointer moved to yes.  Then we asked them to spell out their initials and they said E.S.  After that we asked if they were a woman, and they said yes.  Then we asked if she knew her name but she really didn’t answer or seemed unsure.  (I know this sounds weird, but I am telling you it is legit).  Then we asked if she knew anyone in the room, and she said yes.  We asked her to spell out the person’s name she knows, and she spelled out CRAIG!  Not shitting you.  We asked if she was a relative and she said yes.  Then we asked why she watches me, and she said LOVE.   Now instead of me sitting here giving you a play by play of the questions and I answers, I will just tell you the information we got out of her until she left.She is my great grandmother on my mom’s side,  who I never met.  She is from Maine.  She was born in 1923 and died in 1973.  Her husband died in 1978 and worked at the mill.  She did not have a job.  She had been to Dysarts before, and her favorite meal there was Chicken Parmesan.  She watches over other members of my family too.  She would have voted for Bush to be president, but does not approve of what he has done as president.   She knew my mom’s name and spelled it out.  She knew my middle name.  She also spelled out the numbers of the year my mom was born (which no one besides me in the room knew, and I was not touching the ouija at the time).  I know this all sounds really ridiculous, but I actually had my fingers over the pointer for a lot of the time, and you can literally feel energy going through your fingers and something moves the pointer.  It is so amazing.  And it all makes sense, because my grandmother grew up in freeport, maine.  Therefore, my great grandmother lived in Maine.  I never have met ANY of my great grandparents on my mom’s side or know anything about them.  Also, my Grandmother is pretty young, so it makes sense that her mom would have been born around 1923.  So I am going to call my grandparents tomorrow or go visit them and see if I can find out some info, because if it is all true then I am a total believer in spirits and ouija boards and shit.   Okay I really should go to bed.  Night all.

Hi all!  Today was a relaxing day.  I did nothing all day and went out to dinner with my mom and Grandparents.  Then tonight Jesse and I chilled at our apt with our neighbors/friends Sara and Jocelyn.  The following video is the tour of our apartment I took earlier today – it features guest appearances by Jocelyn, Sara, and our Kitten (Jiggles).  That was his name when we got him.  His full name is Sir Reverend Jiggles Magillicutty Hanington DeForest.       

Everything is going great right now!  We are all settled in the new apartment and we have a new kitty who is cute and exciting, and school starts Tuesday!  Things couldn’t be better. Today I am going to Tamra’s for her going away bbq – even though we will all see her next week when we visit UNH for her birthday.  That should be fun! I’ve bought all my school books and my parking permit and crap like that.  Things have been pretty busy.  I went out Wednesday night to Margarita’s with a group of people – including Jesse and Beth.  And last night I went to Woodman’s with Jesse to celebrate Britney’s comeback! LOL.  It was delicious.  We jammed to her new single the whole way there and back. I went to the new gym on campus and checked it out yesterday.  It’s amazing.  I am going to start my workout routine on Tuesday.  I am excited that we have a million fitness classes!  I actually do not have class on Tuesday until 7:30pm, haha.  And it’s just my dance class…which is…get this…YOGA!  Yes, I get three credits for doing yoga.  How about if I just tell you my classes: THE 461 – Theatre History ITHE 220 – Intro to StagecraftTHE 221 – Stagecraft LabDAN 297 – Yoga THE 112 – Survey of Dramatic LiteraturePAX 350 – Buddhism, Peace, and Contemporary TraditionAnd then of course I will be in University Singers and Alternative Spring Break and hopefully in some plays.  So I will be super busy, but having oh so much fun. Until next time.  (I promise I will give a video tour of my apartment soon…I am just too lazy). Ahhh!  I love our new apartment.  This is our second day here.  Jesse and I both slept in her bedroom last night because she was scared, lol.  She said she is fine now.  I don’t blame her though.  It is a scary old house.  I decided I am not going to post a video of our apartment until we are finished with all the painting and setting up and shit.  I just spent four and a half hours putting the base coat on the living room walls.  That seems like a long time…but these fucking ceilings are high…not to mention I took random breaks and now I am enjoying a glass of wine.  But I’m done painting for the night.  I might do something else, like put some of the chairs for our dining room table together.  Jesse gets home from work at midnight, so I’m waiting up for her.  AND, we have ALL DAY tomorrow to paint!  Except I have class in the morning, but whatevs.  Okay g2g.
